Day 1: Arrival Ha Noi Arrive in Noi Bai Airport (35 km from downtown Ha Noi), where you will be greeted by our guide, then transferred to your downtown hotel. Welcome dinner will follow at a typical Vietnamese restaurant with folk show. Overnight in Ha Noi. Day 2: Ha Noi A full day city tour will cover the main boulevards of Ha Noi, Temple of Literature. Visit to the prestigious Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the famous One Pillar Pagoda. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Enjoy a one hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. After dinner, enjoy an incredible water puppet performance. Day 3: Ha Noi - Dong Anh - Ha Noi Morning visit Van Ha, a woodcarving and puppet making village about 40km (25 miles) from Ha Noi. After lunch, visit Dong Ho famous for its unique paintings. You can watch the woodcut pattern making process and try and make a painting for yourself. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi. Day 4: Bat Trang - Van Phuc - Duyen Thai villages Morning visit the Bat Trang pottery village to witness the complete process of making different kinds of pottery and ceramic items. Enjoy lunch in Ha Noi. Afternoon you will go to visit Duyen Thai, a lacquer ware-painting village in Ha Tay just 20km (12 miles) from Ha Noi. On the way back to Ha Noi, visit Van Phuc silk village. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi. Day 5: Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay Head out of Ha Noi to the World Heritage listed Ha Long Bay. Explore the mystery and beauty of Ha Long Bay during a five hour cruise. Enjoy a leisurely boat trip through the bay stopping to explore some of the many islands, caves and grottoes. A lunch of freshly caught seafood lunch will be enjoyed on board. Dinner and overnight in Ha Long Bay. Day 6: Ha Long Bay - Bac Ninh - Ha Noi Drive to Bac Ninh Province and visit Quan Ho Village, the cradle of Vietnamese traditional music and theatre. Enjoy a special music performance by the locals in the temple. Lunch in Ha Noi. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi. Day 7: Ha Noi - Hue Transfer to the airport for your flight to the Imperial city of Hue. You will be met at the Phu Bai airport then transferred downtown to your hotel. Visit the Imperial Citadel, Dong Ba Market. Take lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon a continuation to visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh tombs. After dinner, enjoy Ca Hue (performance of traditional music on the boat) on the Perfume River. Day 8: Hue - Kim Long Village This morning take a boat ride on the Perfume River and visit some of the more interesting sites of Hue, like Thien Mu Pagoda. Stop to visit traditional villages that make the conical hats ('Non La') synonymous with Vietnam and silk ('Tranh Lua') embroidered paintings (they embroider the picture on silk or cloth). Meet with famous artists in these fields. Dinner and overnight in Hue. Day 8: Hue - Lang Co - Hoi An Transfer to the ancient town of Hoi An via the breathtaking Hai Van Pass. Lunch en route at Lang Co fishing village. Walking tour of the old streets of Hoi An where the mix of Japanese and Chinese architecture reflects its past history as an important trading port. Dinner and overnight in Hoi An. Day 9: Hoi An Day at leisure for further exploration of Hoi An or to enjoy the unspoiled Cua Dai Beach. Dinner and overnight in Hoi An. Day 10: Hoi An - Da Nang - Departure Your day is free until time to the airport for your next departure.
