Welcome to Vietnam, a
charming land with many famous landscapes, introducing the mystery of
old Ha Noi, the magnificence of Ha Long Bay and the tropical evergreen
South. Besides, a more dicovery to the mystical land of Laos and
inspiring temples of Angkor in Siem Reap. An interest in crossing into
Cambodia by speedboat and experiencing life along one of Asia’s longest
rivers.
Day 1: Arrival Ha
Noi
Arrive in Noi Bai Airport (35km from
downtown Ha Noi), our guide will greet you. An orientation tour of Ha
Noi will follow. This capital of 3 million inhabitants combines an old
world charm with its colonial houses and the intriguing liveliness of
the Old Quarter.
Vietnamese specialties dinner. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 2: Ha Noi city

Full day city tour: The main boulevards of
Ha Noi, Temple of Literature. Visit to the prestigious Ho Chi Minh
Mausoleum and the famous One Pillar Pagoda. Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon visit to Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Enjoy a one-hour
cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. After dinner, enjoy the incredible
Water Puppet performance.
Day 3: Ha Noi - Ha
Long Bay - Ha Noi
Head to Ha Long Bay, the World Heritage
Site declared by UNESCO, and explore the mysterious beauty during a
four-hour cruise. Enjoy a leisurely boat trip through the bay stopping
to explore some of the many islands, caves and grottoes.
Return to Ha Noi
following lunch on board of freshly caught seafood. Evening at leisure.

Day 4: Ha Noi -
Vientiane
This morning, you will fly to Vientiane on
Vietnam Airlines. Upon arrival in Vientiane, you will meet your guide
and driver. After being transported to your hotel, a short city tour
will commence in Vientiane. Dinner and overnight in Vientiane.
Day 5: Vientiane -
Luang Prabang
Take a morning flight with Lao Aviation to
Luang Prabang situated on the banks of the Mekong River. Five hundred
kilometers upriver from Vientiane and three hundred meters above sea
level, Luang Prabang is Laos' oldest town. After lunch, take a half day
city tour to visit the Visounnarath Temple, Wat Sene and Wat Sieng
Thong. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 6: Luang
Prabang
Enjoy a full-day boat trip on the Mekong
River to visit the traditional liquor making village of Banh Sang Hai,
and the Holy Caves of Perk-Au. Return to Luang Prabang by boat and
travel overland to visit the traditional hand weaving village of Banh
Phnom. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 7: Luang
Prabang - Vientiane
This morning, after breakfast you will pay
a visit to the central market. You are free to shop until your transfer
to the airport for your flight to Vientiane with Lao Aviation. Overnight
in Vientiane.
Day 8: Vientiane -
Phnom Penh
This morning, leave Vientiane for Phnom
Penh, by flying Vietnam Airlines. After arriving in Phnom Penh, you will
be met by the tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Dinner and
overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 9: Phnom Penh
- Siem Reap by Express Boat
After breakfast, the guide will take you to
visit the Silver Pagoda, the Independence Monument and Royal Palace
before returning to the hotel to have lunch and check-out.
A half day in the
afternoon riding the express boat along the Mekong River, you will
arrive in Siem Reap in the late afternoon. You will be transferred to
the hotel for check-in and dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 10: Temples of
Angkor
Spend a full day exploring the wondrous
ancient ruins of Angkor: start at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, famous
for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, then the
impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant
Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as most
complete structure of Angkor Wat which was built by King Suryavarman II
in the middle of the 12th century over a period of about 30 years.
Day 11: Temples of
Angkor
Explore the magical beauty of Siem Riep by
visiting the Temple of Ta Prohm, with the enormous fig trees and
gigantic creepers embracing the stone foundations of the structure.
It gives the impression
of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. We
explore this masterpiece as well as its surrounding temples of Banteay
Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon, and Chau Say Tevado. The Grand
Circuit includes Preah Khan, the Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, Ta som,
East Mebon, Pre Rub Temple is also visited. In the late afternoon walk
up the Phnom Bakheng hill for a view of the sunset. Overnight in Siem
Reap.
Day 12: Siem Reap
- Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Take a morning flight on Vietnam Airlines
to Ho Chi Minh City. The rest of day is free to wander the city on your
own. Dinner and overnight in Saigon.
Day 13: Saigon -
Mekong Delta
Take an early morning departure for Cai Be
to take a small boat cruise among the floating markets while passing by
ancient stilt houses. Arrive in Vinh Long, in the heart of the Nine
Dragons Delta, poetic name of the Mekong Delta.
Visit arroyos, unique
labyrinth of small canals overshadowed by coconut trees. Discreet
villages, pirogues full of peasants, monks and school children create an
interesting atmosphere. Lunch in a traditional house. Return to Saigon.
Dinner and overnight in Saigon.
Day 14: Saigon -
Cu Chi Tunnels - Saigon
Your day begins with a visit to the Cu Chi
Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the Vietnam War and home
base to the U.S. 25th Infantry Division. At its peak, prior to the 1968
Tet Offensive, the tunnel complex was base to almost 10,000 troops. To
this day, it remains one of the most powerful examples of how the war
was fought. In the afternoon, you will tour some of the important parts
of Saigon. The rest of the day is free; walk around or go shopping in
one of the many markets in central Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 15: Saigon -
Departure
Free at leisure until transfer to Tan San
Nhat Airport for your departure. |
