This 12 day tour
program is a full description of Central Vietnam, where has four World
Heritage Sites. Visit Hue - the former Imperial Capital, see My Son Holy
Land - the ancient kingdom of the Champa, explore Hoi An - the ancient
town, discover magnificent Phong Nha Cave, visit DMZ - the former fierce
battlefield, enjoy a trekking in Bach Ma National Park and take an
excursion by boat on the romantical Perfume River and Tam Giang Lagoon
to visit countryside.
Day
1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh City
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh
City (formerly Saigon) and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day is
free for relaxation. An optional walking tour of Dong Khoi St (formerly
Rue Catinat.) and Le Cong Kieu St., two of Ho Chi Minh City's most
famous streets, is available. Welcome dinner at Blue Ginger restaurant
with music. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day
2: Ho Chi Minh City - Hue
Transfer to Tan San Nhat
International Airport to get in morning flight to Hue. Meet and transfer
to hotel in Hue. Cyclo tour to the Citadel, visit the Imperial City and
Dong Ba Market. Overnight in Hue.
Day
3: Hue
A boat trip on the
romantically named Perfume River and visit Hue's best-known religious
site, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the mausoleum of former Emperor Minh Mang, in
a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes. In the afternoon visit the
elaborate mausoleums of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh from where the
Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Overnight in Hue.
Day
4: Hue - DMZ - Quang Binh
Leave Hue early for a 60 km
drive to visit Khe Sanh Combat base, Ta Co former Air Base and Vinh Moc
tunnels. This area called DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) which was the former
demarcation line between North and South of Vietnam. Then drive another
100 km towards Quang Binh for the night.

5: Quang Binh - Phong Nha Cave - Hue
Morning enjoy a 55
km drive to Son Trach District with the beautiful scenery of cone-shaped
limestone hills rising from the flat valleys. Upon arrival, take a boat
cruise for 6 hours to explore the series of spectacular River Caves
around the area including Phong Nha Cave, the longest one with the
length of 8 km among the surroundings. The Phong Nha Cave was listed as
World Heritage by UNESCO togerther with the Ke Bang National Park, just
in July of 2003. Drive back to Hue. Overnight in Hue.

6: Hue - Tam Giang Lagoon - Hue
Full day excursion to Hue
countryside: starting by a boat trip along the Perfume river to Thuan An
Beach. Disembark and cycling 10 km along Tam Giang Lagoon, throuth many
scenic and beautiful villages road. Visit to a Cham tower and many
communal houses. Visit to a shrim breeding lake farm. Lunch during
visit. Continue the road to Tuy Van Pagoda, an ancient national pagoda
situated on a premier location. Return to Hue by passing Truong Ha
Bridge, the very new and empressing bridge enjamb Tam Giang Lagoon.
Overnight in Hue.
Day
7: Hue - Bach Ma National Park - Lang Co Beach
This morning we leave
Hue and drive south. The 20km winding road will lead us to the Bach Ma
National Park, one of the most famous national parks in Vietnam which
was discovered by the French during the 30s. Till now we can still find
many vestiges of French villas up there, some of which have been
restored. We will enjoy some trekkings to the fomous eco sites of the
National Park like the Five Lake Trails, the Summit Trails. In the
afternoon, we drive back to Lang Co and spend out night at Lang Co Beach
Resort. Tonight we will enjoy a fabouslous BBQ dinner on the pool of the
resort.

8: Lang Co Beach
We have a full day at
leisure at the beautiful resort to enjoy the Sun, the Sand and the Sea
or just relax by the great pool. Overnight at Lang Co Beach Resort.

9: Lang Co Beach - Da Nang - Hoi An
Leave after breakfast for the
journey over the Pass of Ocean Clouds to Da Nang. Stop in Da Nang to
visit the Cham Museum containing the finest collection of Cham sculpture
in the world and China Beach, once famous as a R&R for US soldiers
during ther war. On the road from Da Nang to Hoi An visit five sacred
hills known as the Marble Mountains containing dozens of Buddhist
shrines. On arrival in Hoi An transfer to hotel. Hoi An was a major
Asian trading port in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and its
architecture and relaxed lifestyle has changed little over the years.
Take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit former
merchants’ houses, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the
colourful market. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day
10: Hoi An - My Son - Hoi An
A half day trip to
visit the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom, My
Son. Here, 40km southwest of Hoi An, in a lush green valley, are dozens
of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the seventh and
thirteenth centuries. On returning to Hoi An, the afternoon is free to
relax perhaps browsing for souvenirs in Hoi An's art galleries and silk
shops, or maybe cycling to the nearby Cua Dai Beach. Overnight in Hoi
An.
Day
11: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ha Noi
The morning is at leisure
until transfer to Da Nang International Airport to get morning flight to
Ha Noi. Pick up at Noi Bai Airport. Transfer to hotel in Ha Noi. In the
afternoon, take a half-day city tour to visit the Temple of Literature,
the Fine Arts museum and the Lake of the Restored Sword. Take a one-hour
cyclo ride through the old quarter to enjoy the Ha Noi's beautiful
late-afternoon colors. In the evening, enjoy a water puppet show - a
remarkable Vietnamese art form that combines traditional music,
fireworks, underwater puppeteers, and elaborate puppets floating
gracefully over water. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day
12: Ha Noi - Departure
The morning is free for
shopping until transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for departure.
