Day 1: Arrival Ha Noi Upon arrival in Noi Bai Airport (35 km from downtown Ha Noi), you will be greeted by our guide then transferred downtown to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a typical Vietnamese restaurant with folk show. Overnight in Ha Noi. Day 2: Ha Noi Full day city tour: the main boulevards of Ha Noi, Temple of Literature. Visit to the prestigious Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the famous One Pillar Pagoda. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Enjoy a one hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. After dinner, enjoy the incredible Water Puppet performance. Day 3: A day for painting in Ha Noi Morning visit to Dong Ho, famous for its unique paintings. Here they make a special kind of paper, "Giay Do" from the "Do" tree. Each painting has a pattern, similar to a woodcut, and they print it onto the paper. Drive back to Ha Noi for lunch. Afternoon a continuation to visit to some famous painting workshops where you can enjoy, can buy and talk to painters. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi. Day 4: Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay Head out of Ha Noi to the World Heritage listed Ha Long Bay. Explore the mystery and beauty of Ha Long Bay during a five hour cruise. Enjoy a leisurely boat trip through the bay stopping to explore some of the many islands, caves and grottoes. Freshly caught seafood lunch on board. Dinner and overnight in Ha Long Bay. Day 5: Ha Long Bay - Bac Ninh - Ha Noi Drive to Bac Ninh Province and visit Quan Ho village, the cradle of Vietnamese traditional music and theatre. Enjoy a special music performance by the locals in the temple. Lunch in Ha Noi. Afternoon free at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi. Day 6: A Day of Medicine in Ha Noi After breakfast, you will visit the National Hospital of Traditional Medicines, located in the heart of Ha Noi. Under the guidance of a doctor, you will have a chance to see ancient traditional medical practices as they are still used today. After lunch, you will make a stop at the Acupuncture Institute. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi. Day 7: Ha Noi - Hue Transfer to airport for flight to the Imperial city of Hue. You will be met at Phu Bai airport then transferred downtown for check-in at your hotel. Visit the Imperial Citadel, Dong Ba market. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon continue to visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh tombs. After dinner, enjoy a Ca Hue (performance of traditional music on the boat) on the Perfume River. Day 8: Hue - Lang Co - Hoi An Transfer to the ancient town of Hoi An via the breathtaking Hai Van Pass. Lunch en route at Lang Co fishing village. Take a walking tour of the old streets of Hoi An where the mix of Japanese and Chinese architecture reflects its past history as an important trading port. Dinner and overnight in Hoi An. Day 9: Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City (former Saigon) Transfer to Da Nang Airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Meet at the airport then transfer to downtown for check-in hotel. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon half-day city tour will include an orientation tour of Saigon's main boulevards, Notre Dame Cathedral, the splendid Post Office and the bustling Ben Thanh Market. Dinner and overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 10: Ho Chi Minh - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh Day trip to My Tho. Take an excursion on the Mekong Delta to see daily life on the Mekong River, visit fruit garden on the island and coconut candy factory. Dinner and overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. Day 11: Ho Chi Minh city - Cu Chi Tunnels - Phan Thiet Beach After breakfast, travel to visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels to experience how the Viet Cong lived underground during the American war. Return to Ho Chi Minh for lunch. Aternoon drive to Phan Thiet, 200 km (125 miles) northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, a lovely city near the sea. Overnight in Phan Thiet Beach. Day 12: Phan Thiet Day at leisure for further exploration of Phan Thiet: sand dunes, fishing village, local market or to enjoy the beautiful beach. Lunch and dinner by your own. Overnight in Phan Thiet. Day 13: Phan Thiet - Ho Chi Minh City - Departure Travel back to Ho Chi Minh City and then transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for your departure flight.
